Family singers

These are some of my favorite family singers. The first two have visited our church. The last is a home school family of 21 whom I have not met, still, I love their family.

The Tim Crumpton Family

(Shannon, Tim, Caleb, and Joshua)

Note: This is only half of the family. They have a daughter (Sarah) and another son (Andrew) who is not in this video.

The Larry Nelson Family

(Lana, Laura, Larry and Lisa)

The second video is filmed in Salem Mo. at Bro. John Brewers church Ozark Hills Baptist.

Mary Did You Know?

There are sooo many Christmas songs and i love them all but I can only pick one because of time sake. I know Christmas was yesterday but Merry Christmas all the same. This is only one of my favorite Christmas songs but this is really "the reason I sing."

Mary Did You Know

Mary did you know that your baby boy would some day walk on water?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you've delivered, will soon deliver you.

Mary did you know that your baby boy would give sight to a blind man?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
When your kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God.

Mary did you know

The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the dead will live again.
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb

Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your baby boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you're holding is the great...

The great... I am

Count your Blessings

I song that is very familiar to all of us and a great reminder to count our blessings. I know that I have been VERY blessed and I am so thankful to God for giving me a home in Heaven, a fine family, food on my table, good friends, a nice home and MUCH more! Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!!

Count Your Blessings
by:  Johnson Oatman Jr.

When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Chorus:
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will keep singing as the days go by.

Chorus

When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings. Wealth can never buy
Your reward in heaven, and your home on high.

Chorus

So, amid the conflict whether great or small,
Do not be discouraged, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.

Chorus

The Value of One

I remember that wondrous night when an eleven-year-old girl, sitting up in bed, bowed her head and asked Jesus to become her personal Lord and Savior. I am so very thankful to God for saving a sinner like me and building a wonderful mansion. I am now willing to serve God and tell others of His grace and joy until He brings me home!

The Value of One

Can you imagine up in heaven
God is sitting on His throne
Anticipating another sinner
Would soon become His own
Years of wasted living
And years of toil and strife
Are soon about to be over
As he receives the gift of life

Chorus:
God sound the horn
Strike up the choir
A sinner is saved
Saved from the fire
No more in darkness
He's received my son
All heaven's rejoicing
that's the value of one.

The Holy Spirit has been working
To soften up their heart
All He needs is a willing servant
to simply do their part
Can you imagine up in heaven
All the joy there is that day
When a sinner bows his head to pray
Can't you hear the Father say?

Chorus

Start construction on his mansion
There on Hallelujah street
He doesn't know yet what is waiting
When the Savior he will meet.

Chorus

All heaven's rejoicing
That's the value of one!

Abba Father

I love singing praise to my almighty King. He is my Abba, (my Father) and my help. This song says it all. This is my constant prayer.

Abba, Father
by Ron Hamilton

Father, hold me safe in your arms;
Father, keep me free from all harm.
I cast my care on You
Just as a child should do,
Trusting, loving all that You are.

Chorus:
Abba, Father, I rest in You;
You're always faithful,
You're always true.
Abba, Father, You are my song
Tho' clouds are dark,
Tho night is long.
I cry to You, Abba Father.

Father, help me lean on You more
Thru each valley,
Thru every storm.
Help me when I cant see
Your will is best for me;
Love me, hold me
Sheltered and warm.

Chorus

Abba Father!

Statue of Liberty

I love Independence Day! Our life would not be the same without our liberty. My braces are even red and blue. I like to remember the men that fought in the revolution some even at 13 years of age. I think of the snow painted red with the blood off the soldiers feet. And I think of Jesus' blood as He died for our spiritual freedom. Just as Lady Liberty reminds us of our physical freedom the cross symbolizes our spiritual freedom.

Statue of Liberty

In New York Harbor stands a lady,
With a torch raised to the sky;
And all who see her know she stands for
Liberty for you and me.

I'm so proud to be called an American,
To be named with the brave and the free;
I will honor our flag and our trust in God,
And the Statue of Liberty.

On lonely Golgotha stood a cross,
With my Lord raised to the sky;
And all who kneel there live forever
As all the saved can testify.

I'm so glad to be called a Christian,
To be named with the ransomed and whole;
As the statue liberates the citizen,
So the cross liberates the soul.

Oh the cross is my Statue of Liberty,
It was there that my soul was set free;
Unashamed I'll proclaim that a rugged cross
Is my Statue of Liberty!

Hope you have a glorious Independence day!

I Love That Good Old Gospel Singing

I Love That Good Old Gospel Singing

I recall a slender steeple
A church house filled with people
And voices lifted up in happy song
With music so exiting
So warm and so inviting
I had to enter in and sing along
And as I joined right with them
In harmony and rhythm
My heart was lifted up to Heaven above
I felt like shouting glory
When i heard the gospel  story
Those songs about my Jesus and his love

Chorus:
I love that...
Good old gospel singing
Happy gospel singing
Ringing out so loud and clear
Like an angel choir
How it lifts me higher
Making Heaven seem so near
Come on and...
Join right in the chorus
Really swell the chorus
Let that happy song prolong
Let everybody sing it
Make it ring
Until the whole world sings along!

With voices lifted high
We sing Sweet By and By
And Rock of Ages cleft for even me
I love to tell the story
Of Jesus and His glory
Alas and did my Savior did bleed for me
I sing Lord..
Send the old time power
I need Thee every hour
And nothing but the blood could make me whole
Oh, happy happy, day
He washed my sins away
He's the fairest of ten thousand to my soul

Chorus x2

Until the whole world sings along
Until the..whole..world..sings..a..long!

I don't need rock and roll, pop, rap, I got that good old Gosple singing!

I Love that Man in the Middle

I Love that Man in the Middle

There was a mountain and there were three trees
There was a good man and there were two thieves
A man called Barabbas was doomed for the tree
But Jesus took that middle cross and Barabbas went free

Chorus:
I love that man in the middle because I know
That he first loved me
Praise to that man who died on Mount Calvary
That middle man made  possible that I might go free

A hill called Golgotha the place of a skull
No yellow flowers, no trees in bloom the scenery was dull
Three crosses stood black and bold against a darkened sky
It was not from pain but a broken heart that middle man died

Chorus

Yes,  That middle man made it possible that I might go free.
Go Free!

Thank God for the man in the middle, but praise God that He is NOT there anymore!!!
He is Risen!

I'm Just a Sinner Saved by Grace

This song is so true for every born-again Christian. I am only just a sinner but I was saved by God's wonderful grace and mercy when I asked Him into my heart. There is such freedom and joy from being saved from sin. "Lord, thank you for saving a sinner like me! Thank you for taking my place on the cross I deserved! Amen." I am loved and forgiven! My sins are as far away as the east is from the west! Praise God that I am saved by grace!

I'm Just a Sinner Save by Grace

If you could see
What I once was
If you could go with me
Back to where I started from
Then, I know you would see
A miracle of Love that took me
In its sweet embrace
And made me what I am today
Just a sinner
Saved by Grace

Chorus:
I'm just a sinner
Saved by grace
When I stood condemned to death
He took my place
Now I live and breathe  in freedom
With each breath of life I take
I'm loved and forgiven
I'm baked with the living
I'm just a sinner saved by grace

How could I boast on anything
That I've ever seen of done
How could I dare to claim as mine
The victories God has won
Where would I be had God not brought me
Gently to this place
I'm here to say I'm nothing but
A sinner
Saved by grace

Chorus

Now I live and breathe in freedom
With each breath of life I take
I'm loved and forgiven
I'm backed with the living
I'm just a sinner
Saved by grace
Saved by grace!

Walk On for Jesus

Sequel to 'For my Good and for His Glory'
If we simply give up on life when a tragedy occurs we give up on God. We should trust Him, walk on for Jesus, and witness for Him.

Walk On

Sometimes your pathway
May prove uncertainties lie
Circumstances seem to tell you
That there's no reason to try

Chorus
Walk on, walk on for Jesus
Walk on in His Name
Lifting high the blood stained banner
Walk on in His Name

Walk on through the shadows
Where doubts and fears reside
He will crown you faith with victr'y
If on Him you will abide

Chorus x2

In His Name!

For my Good and for His Glory

Sometimes I don't understand why God allows bad or uncomfortable situations to happen. Over the past year everything I know, loved, and was accustomed to sort of changed and disappeared. However, I know that through it all God has a plan. God has used Bro. John (our old pastor) to grow us up in the Lord and now he can teach and minister to others. God does have a plan for everything even the uncomfortable situations."Though I would not have chosen the suffering that has come I'm willing now to say 'Lord not my will but Thine be done'" I LOVE this song. It's beautiful!

For my Good and for His Glory

I must admit I don't understand
Why God would let me face this painful circumstance
All I have to cling to is His Word and His Name
But that's enough so I will trust

Chorus:
It's for my good and for His glory
This trial's not the end of the story
There's a bigger picture
God alone can see
Faith will take you through this sorrow
For I know He holds tomorrow
And He assures me its for my good
And for His glory

I love the Lord and He has promised me
He'll work all things for good through my tears I believe
That His ways are higher than any of my own
And though my heart aches He makes no mistakes

Chorus

Though I would not have chosen the suffering that has come
I'm willing now to say "Lord not my will but Thine be done"

Chorus

For His Glory!!!

Called to Make the Difference

As I said before Jesus is the reason I sing. He has given me everything and I am sooo grateful to Him. I have the promise of eternal salvation with Him! Since I have been saved God has called me into the full time Christian ministry. He has called me to follow wherever He leads me. I believe His will for me is to become a wife and mother someday. (hopefully) :) However, I do know that He has called me to the mission field. He has called me to make a difference in this world and to help point others to Him! This song says exactly how I feel in my heart of hearts. Praise be to God our King!

Called to Make the Difference

Everywhere you turn
Men are ruining their lives
They're searching for some happiness to fill their empty eyes
Everyone needs a witness
who will stand up unashamed
Who will dare to make the difference
Who will go in Jesus Name

Chorus:
I am called to make the difference
In a world that needs to change
I'm called to be a spokesman
For the Name above all names
Called to bear the cross of Christ
Called to give Him all my life
I will give my world a chance
And I will make the difference

I am not my own
I belong to Jesus Christ
and I have found His peace and joy has filled my empty life
Now He calls me gently
to surrender all I am
To go and make the difference
To take a loving stand
A loving stand

Chorus

Yes I will make the difference
The difference

The Reason I Sing

Jesus is the reason I sing! Without Him I would not (could not) be able to sing. I thank God for giving me a voice and I hope I can encourage you to sing out for the Lord. I pray that you will be as blessed by these songs as I have been. Even if you have never heard the music please, please, please read the words. They are beautiful!!!

The Reason I Sing
When storm of life are raging
And I look around me
I see the crashing billows
And I am afraid
But when I look at Jesus
And cry to Him for Mercy
His outstretched hand reminds me
He's the master of the waves.

Chorus:
When He is my joy, my joy is unspeakable
When He is my strength, I can do all things
When He is my peace, it passes understanding
When Jesus is my song, I always have a reason to sing

Often I am tempted
To seek for contentment
In temporary pleasures
This world offers today
But when I look at Jesus
Again I am reminded
The peace and joy He gives me
They will never pass away

Chorus

Friends may fail
And trials come
Circumstances change
Jesus is the only One
Who's always the same

Chorus

When Jesus is my song, I always have a reason to sing (x2)
He is the reason I sing!
