Angels from the Realms of Glory

Merry Christmas all!

He is worthy of our praise as an infant in a manger, as our Savior, and as Lord of all the Earth who will come again to claim His own.
This is a time of celebration indeed, though everyday we should glorify God in the Highest who was and is and is to come!! Praise the Lord for giving the greatest gift!!

Angles from the Realms of Glory

Angels from the realms of glory,
Wing your flight o'er all the earth;
Ye who sang creation's story,
Now proclaim Messiah's birth:
Come and worship,
Come and worship,
Worship Christ, the newborn King!

Shepherds, in the fields abiding,
Watching o'er your flocks by night,
God with man is now residing,
Yonder shines the infant Light;
Come and worship,
Come and worship,
Worship Christ, the newborn King!

Sages, leave your contemplations,
Brighter visions beam afar;
Seek the great desire of nations,
Ye have seen His natal star;
Come and worship,
Come and worship,
Worship Christ, the newborn King!

Saints before the altar bending,
Watching long in hope and fear,
Suddenly the Lord, descending,
In His temple shall appear:
Come and worship,
Come and worship,
Worship Christ, the newborn King!

O Come, O Come Emmanuel

Well, Christmas is nearing and what better way to celebrate Christ Jesus than with music?!

One of my all time favorite Christmas hymns is O Come, O Come Emmanuel. It is a fantastic testimony of the joy that Christ Jesus brings through his saving Grace. He is the deliverer and Saviour! Just meditate on those words!! :)

O Come, O Come Emmanuel

O come, O come, Emmanuel
And ransom captive Israel
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Rod of Jesse, free
Thine own from Satan's tyranny
From depths of Hell Thy people save
And give them victory o'er the grave
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Day-Spring, come and cheer
Our spirits by Thine advent here
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night
And death's dark shadows put to flight.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Key of David, come,
And open wide our heavenly home;
Make safe the way that leads on high,
And close the path to misery.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, O come, Thou Lord of might,
Who to Thy tribes, on Sinai's height,
In ancient times did'st give the Law,
In cloud, and majesty and awe.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

My Lord is Taking Good Care of Me

No matter what this world has in store I can rest assured that my Lord is taking VERY good care of me and He'll do the same for all those that call upon His name.

My Lord is Taking Good Care of Me

I got up this morning and I started my day
God's mercy was with me all of the way
His goodness stayed close by to meet all my needs
My Lord is taking good care of me.

I'm never forsaken I'm never alone
One day I'm moving to my brand new home
I'm blessed beyond measure just look close you'll see
My Lord is taking good care of me

I'm counting my blessings as I journey along
Good friends, a family, and a place to call home
The church where I worship, the Bible I read
My Lord is taking good care of me.

When Satan comes tempting and he brings up my past
I tell him I'm forgiven and it's buried at last
The blood shed at Calvary now speaks for me
My Lord is taking good care of me.

I'm never forsaken I'm never alone
One day I'm moving to my brand new home
I'm blessed beyond measure just look close you'll see
My Lord is taking...
He's always taking...
My Lord is taking...
Good care of me.

Camp Songs

Alright, So I'm FINALLY getting to posting this. It's been sitting in drafts for like 2 months just waiting to be completed. Sooooo, Without further ado...

I have had a full summer with THREE camps and I though I love every part of camp: the preaching, the competition, and the *slightly less than* amazing food; my favorite part is the music. There is just something awe inspiring about a group of young people raising their voices in praise to God. Anyway, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite songs from each camp.

The link to a YouTube video will be attached on the title of each song. I have no affiliation with the creator of the videos.

SMITE Camp

I learned so many songs I couldn't believe I had never heard before. My favorites were...

Lord, Send Me Anywhere

O Lord, since Thou hast died
To give Thyself for me,
No sacrifice could be too great
For me to make for Thee.

Refrain:
Lord, send me anywhere, Only go with me;
Lay any burden on me, Only sustain me.
Sever any tie, Save the tie that binds me to Thy heart—
Lord Jesus, my King, I consecrate my life, Lord, to Thee.

I only have one life,
And that will soon be past;
I want my life to count for Christ,
What's done for Him will last.

I follow Thee, my Lord,
And glory in Thy cross;
I gladly leave the world behind
And count all gain as loss.

Here I Am

I, the Lord of sea and sky,
I have heard My people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin,
My hand will save.
I who made the stars of night,
I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear My light to them?
Whom shall I send?

Refrain:
Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord.
I have heard You calling in the night.
I will go Lord, if You lead me.
I will hold Your people in my heart.

I, the Lord of snow and rain,
I have borne my peoples pain.
I have wept for love of them, They turn away.
I will break their hearts of stone,
Give them hearts for love alone.
I will speak My word to them,
Whom shall I send?

I, the Lord of wind and flame,
I will tend the poor and lame.
I will set a feast for them,
My hand will save
Finest bread I will provide,
Till their hearts be satisfied.
I will give My life to them,
Whom shall I send?

Will You Be The One

(okay, the images are really random, but It's a good recording of this song so...)

In a world full of broken dreams
Where the truth is hard to find
For every promise that is kept
There are many left behind
Though it seems that nobody cares
It still matters what you do
Cause there's a difference you can make
But the choice is up to you
 Will you be the one
To answer to His call
Will you stand
When those around you fall
Will you be the one
To take His light
Into a darkened world
Tell me will you be the one

Oh sometimes it's hard to know
Who is right and what is wrong
And where are you supposed to stand
When the battle lines are drawn
There's a voice that is calling out
For someone who's not afraid
To be a beacon in the night
To a world that's lost it's way

There are still some battles
That I must fight from day to day
Yet the Lord provides the power
For me to stand and say

I will be the one
To answer to His call
I will stand
When those around me fall
I will be the one
To take His light In
Into a darkened world
Yes I'll be the one

The Cross before me the world behind me
The Cross before me the world behind me

I've Got Jesus on my Mind

(I couldn't find  a version that wasn't filled with soul, but it's easy to Google :) )

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
I've got Him on my mind

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
I've got Him on my mind
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
I've got Him on my mind
Hey
I've got Jesus on my mind.

(we typically switch out lyrics for example... Instead of "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus" we would say "When I'm eating camp food" or "When I'm on a hayride" etc. )

One More Voice

Hey, I know It's been a while since I posted anything but today I discovered that a CollegePlus friend went through a terrible loss last night. A tornado stormed through their Arkansan home destroying it completely also taking her father, Rob Tittle, and two sisters, Tori, 20, and Rebekah, 14, among many other families throughout Oklahoma and Arkansas. Thinking about the tragedy this song came to mind. Through all our mourning I am so very glad that in Heaven there is much jubilation that we shall soon join...

One More Voice by Joshua Crumpton

Only God has the answers to the questions why
When I loved one is taken and others left behind
But the problems that we know
Can't compare with Heaven Joys
As the Father stands to greet His child
And welcome him home

Chorus:
One more voice
Has entered heaven choir
And the time that we're apart
Is only for a while
Let Heavens praises ring
That death has lost it's sting
As the saints all stand before the throne and sing
With one more voice

The moments that we've had
In this life may seem gone
But the mem'ries that we share
Still goes on and on
And all the lives that you've touched
On this Earth we'll never know
But in Heaven, we'll be there someday
To welcome them home.

 Chorus:
One more voice
Has entered heaven choir
And the time that we're apart
Is only for a while
Let Heavens praises ring
That death has lost it's sting
As the saints all stand before the throne and sing
With one more voice

And every time a sinner bows his head
To let the Saiour in
We can hear the saints and Angels rejoice
With one more voice...

Chorus:
One more voice
Has entered heaven choir
And the time that we're apart
Is only for a while
Let Heavens praises ring
That death has lost it's sting
As the saints all stand before the throne and sing
With one more voice
